Avaliação da razão cintura-quadril de indivíduos cardiopatas

Introdução: As doenças cardiovasculares são responsáveis por 16,7 milhões de mortes/ano. Alguns estudos demonstram a utilidade da relação cintura/quadril (RCQ) como indicador de localização de gordura corporal e preditor de risco coronariano. Objetivo: mensurar a RCQ de indivíduos que sofreram algum evento cardíaco. Métodos: amostra constituída por 30 pacientes, do sexo feminino (n=17) com idade média de 64,8±11 anos. Foram avaliados o percentual de gordura, o Índice de Massa Corporal e a RCQ. Para análise dos dados e comparação entre os gêneros utilizou-se a estatística descritiva. Resultados: os grupos apresentaram uma obesidade leve, entretanto o percentual de gordura, nos homens apresentou valores acima dos recomendados para a faixa etária. Para o RCQ, 73,3% possuem valores alterados, entre os fatores de risco a hipertensão (66,6%) seguida da dislipidemia (40%), foram as mais prevalentes. Conclusão: Indivíduos com doenças coronarianas apresentam em sua maioria valores aumentados da RCQ.Downloads
