Introduction: The quality of life of health care providers is fundamental for the safe, motivated, and effective performance of their services to the population. Objective: To evaluate the quality of life of professionals working in the Family Health Strategy (FHS) in the city of Assis (SP, Brazil). Methods: This is a quantitative survey, conducted in 11 Family Health Units (FHU). Study participants were 98 health care providers working in the ESF, namely: 14 nurses, five physicians, 17 nursing technicians, 39 community health agents, and 23 participants who did not identify their roles in the ESF. Data were collected through the WHOQOL-BREF. Results and Discussion: In the general area a value of 4.11 was obtained, which is considered as “good”; in the physical domain, 3.76 was obtained; 3.69 in the psychological domain; in social relationships domain, 3.62; and 3.49 in the environment domain; with this in mind, the physical, psychological, social relationships, and environment were assessed as “regular”. The quality of health services provided to users of the system depends on the physical, psychological, and social conditions of its workers. It is known that the presence, absence, or insufficient quality of life of health care providers is directly related to the effectiveness and resolution of the actions developed. Conclusion: This study suggests that it is necessary to promote the health and quality of life of those working in the FHS by developing strategies that support self-care and the development of healthy habits.
