O termo lesão fibro-óssea benigna, apesar de muito

utilizado, não representa um diagnóstico, mas um processo

biológico semelhante em diversas lesões. O presente artigo

faz uma ampla revisão bibliográfica sobre como este termo

surgiu e chama atenção para a problemática do diagnóstico

e classificação das lesões constituintes deste grupo.
