The innovative use of Information and Communication Technologies in the fight against the Dengue epidemic

Dengue puts up to 4 billion people at risk per year, with the potential for hospitalization and death. The objective of this work is to identify how innovation in the use of Information and Communication Technologies helped to combat dengue in São Caetano do Sul. Document analysis was carried out followed by interviews with health professionals who worked in the fight against dengue. It was identified that the technologies optimized the allocation of resources, reduced the overload of professionals and the risks of infections in the management and control of the epidemic.
