Abstract

This study has analyzed some programs in Business Management in the distance learning mode of education in order to verify whether there was difference in outcomes between genders. The research was exploratory and relied on questionnaires sent to the program’s managers from some higher education institutions in Brazil. Information was obtained about female students, regarding if they presented difficulty in distance education, among others aspects, with the objective of identifying differences in learning performance between men and women in this education modality. It was identified that female students had the higher notes than the male students, although women find more difficulties in learning in this type of education. It was also found that most students were female and they appeared to interact more than male students
