Abstract

This paper studies the role of the manager in relation to human diversity, to impression and to dialogue as phenomena perceived in personal interaction in innovative projects. Anchored on qualitative approach, seven interviews were conducted with managers of three companies that have developed innovative projects. The findings show that is secondary diversity (communication styles, values, beliefs, behavior, cultural background etc.) that affects the management of people, and in turn, stimulates creativity, a crucial issue in innovation. Dialogue is another management feature as long as there is listening without retaliation or retribution. Finally, the impression management should be a theme of reflection for the manager, whether to analyze the dynamics of human interaction in the work team or to carry over into other organizational areas to achieve better results for themselves, their team and the organization.
