This essay seeks to analyze the soundtrack of the feature film A quiet place (2018), highlighting the use of silence and the spatialization of sounds as crucial dramatic elements for the affective modulation of the plot. In order to instrumentalize the analysis, we will use the concepts of point of audition and intensified continuity. In this way, we intend to shed some light on specific creative devices with which the film shapes the aesthetic experience of the audience, affecting it to the point of significantly altering the conventional behavior of the spectators in front of the film.
