Abstract

Understanding the social contexts that society experiences is a bias that can create conditions to mitigate possible social conflicts. Therefore, the objective is to understand how the practice of Gourmetization affects the local gastronomic habits of the tourist complex of Barra Grande, Piaui. PI. Therefore, the theories of practice were used as an epistemological and methodological basis, placing themselves in a place closer to the realities experienced. The study is qualitative with a post-qualitative approach, because it understands that both humans and non-humans can affect the field. After collecting and interpreting the data, the research interprets that the gourmet practice affects gastronomic habits in the tourist trade, with the practice having a role of both boosting and repressing tastes, habits, cultures, feelings such as belonging and sharing in the countryside
