Abstract

The objective of this research was to identify and analyze the work relationships and the strategic human resources management (SHRM) in the collective dining restaurant companies in the state of São Paulo and their respective unions. The activity of an organization's professionals is managed by the HR area and labor relations, as well as its laws and interventions by its agents, such as the State and union institutions, are external factors arising from society that play a role in restricting the HR management. The study carried out was qualitative, descriptive and exploratory. The results of the research showed that the collective meal companies present themselves with a workforce of mostly female, with low education and short duration of employment. Organizations have a working relationship based on good interaction between workers 'and employees' unions, a high rate of union membership and have characteristics of SHRM.
