Introduction: Pharmaceutical care consists of a set of care actions, aimed at promoting, protecting, and recovering health, aiming at the rational use of medicines. However, this care requires special attention when care is directed to people with disabilities. Objectives: The objective of this research was to reflect on the challenges faced by Pharmaceutical Care in the care of people with hearing impairment, to guarantee the right of access to good pharmaceutical guidance. Methods: This is an integrative review in Google Scholar search sources and in databases: SciELO, LILACS, PUBMED, and in the repositories of Brazilian universities, between 2012 and 2022. Results: According to the literature review, the results pointed to the importance of pharmaceutical care being inclusive. For this, knowledge of Libras is necessary to have effective communication with deaf patients, while actions such as lip reading, writing or mime are palliative. Conclusions: It is concluded that the main challenges faced in Pharmaceutical Care for deaf or hard of hearing people are the lack of knowledge of Libras and interest in knowing and understanding the culture of deaf people.
