Efeitos da Cirurgia Bariátrica no Consumo de Doces e Alimentos Gordurosos por Pacientes em seu Período Pré e Pós-Operatório

Resumen

INTRODUCCIÓN: Los pacientes sometidos a cirugía bariátrica (CB) informan cambios en sus conductas alimentarias que pueden resultar de causas conductuales, anatómicas y neuroendocrinas resultantes de los impactos de la cirugía. Sin embargo, no existe consenso en la literatura científica sobre los impactos del CB en las conductas alimentarias asociadas, específicamente, al consumo de alimentos ricos en calorías. OBJETIVO: Analizar la producción científica que discute la asociación entre el consumo de alimentos con alta densidad energética por parte de los pacientes y sus respectivos periodos pre o postoperatorios de CB. MATERIALES Y MÉTODOS: Revisión integrativa de la literatura realizada en las bases de datos SciELO, Medline y Lilacs. La recolección de datos se llevó a cabo entre marzo y junio de 2020. Para el análisis de este estudio se consideraron artículos publicados después de 2015 con propuestas de investigación en línea con el objetivo de esta investigación. RESULTADOS: La muestra inicial de artículos con aplicación de los criterios de inclusión y exclusión fue de 114 artículos. Después de la selección en busca de manuscritos que cumplieran con el alcance de esta revisión, el número total de artículos seleccionados para estudiar su contenido fue de 34 artículos. CONCLUSIONES: Los artículos indican que el cambio en el consumo de dulces y alimentos grasos en el período preoperatorio es el resultado de cambios de comportamiento dirigidos a la pérdida de peso. Sin embargo, después de la CB, la reducción en el consumo de estos alimentos de alta densidad energética puede estar asociada a cambios neuroendocrinos intestinales relacionados con la saciedad, así como a una reducción de la palatabilidad de estos grupos de alimentos.
